Premier Shade Tree Application

• I, the undersigned, agree that any and all trees that I receive through the Turlock Irrigation District (TID) Premier Shade Tree Rebate Program (the Program) are my trees and not the responsibility or property of TID. I understand that I will care for the trees and be fully liable for any damage to person or property which may be caused by the planting, maintenance and presence of the trees, or is in any way related to my receipt of the trees under the Program. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless TID, its officers, employees and agents from any damages related to the trees I purchase through the Program. Further, I understand there may be City or County requirements regarding the types of trees that may be planted in certain areas that the City or County may regulate, sometimes called ‘Street Trees’ or ‘Theme Trees’. TID chooses the types of trees it provides through this program and designates their placement based on the shade they provide and the energy potentially saved. TID does not warrant that trees provided through this program and locations specified for planting will meet any City or County tree requirements, and TID is not liable for any costs, including removal or replacement of trees, if City or County requirements are not met. Customers are advised to check with their City or County regarding these requirements prior to purchasing a tree from TID.
• Applicant must be a TID residential electric customer.
• All trees are subject to inspection and verification.
• All trees are subject to availability.
• There is a limit of two (2) trees per household.
• Application must be accurate and fully completed prior to receiving a tree voucher.
• Applicant must also be the homeowner.
• Trees must be planted within 10′ to 50′ from the building foundation, excluding the North side.
