The Energy Sync program is a voluntary demand response program for TID customers who have an eligible smart thermostat(s) connected to their central air conditioning or central heat pump.
Joining EnergySync allows TID to make small adjustments to enrolled thermostats during a grid constraint event.
Adjustments are small, within 1-4 degrees, and an event typically lasts no more than 4 hours.
The program season runs from May 1st – October 31st, when TID’s peak demand is highest.
Participants will receive a $50 enrollment incentive once their application has been approved and an additional $25 participation incentive after the end of the demand response season (October 31st).
