Are there any fees associated with going solar?

Effective January 1, 2025 there are solar application fees. The fees are $450 for residential solar applications and $775 for non-residential solar customers installing solar under 1 MW. Please contact solar@tid.org or (209)883-8254 if you are installing over a 1MW solar system.

In addition, there is a solar inspection fee. The first TID solar inspection will be free of charge and any subsequent inspection there will be a charge of $150 per trip.
