CARES Income Eligible Program

Residential customers who qualify for the TID CARES Program receive a $20 discount on the residential customer charge and 10% off the first 800 kilowatt-hours of use each month. The discount will increase in subsequent years, as follows:

  • January 1, 2027: $30 discount on the residential customer charge

Eligibility

To be eligible for the CARES Program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a residential customer receiving electric service under residential rates.
  • The total gross household income must conform to the Income Guidelines as specified in the table below.
  • You are not claimed as a dependent on another person’s income tax return.
  • The service address shown on the application is your primary residence.

Income Guidelines

To qualify for the program, your household income must not exceed the following amounts:

4$64,300

For households with more than 4 people, add $11,000 for each additional household member.
