EnergySync

The TID Grid Partners demand response program is an opt-in program that provides customers with incentives to reduce their electric consumption during times of grid constraint. EnergySync is a smart thermostat program available to customers who have an eligible smart thermostat.

Receive up to $75 for enrolling and participating in the EnergySync Program!

The EnergySync program is available to all TID customers who have or purchase an eligible smart thermostat. Customers who opt-in will receive $50 for enrolling and $25 for participating at the end of the season*.

By enrolling in EnergySync, you’ll allow TID to make small adjustments to your thermostat during a grid constraint event. Adjusting your thermostat by a few degrees can make a big difference.

Here’s how the program works:

  • Enroll: Use your current smart thermostat to opt-in today!
  • Purchase a Thermostat: If you don’t currently have an eligible smart thermostat, please click to see our eligible device list. Once purchased and installed, return to this page to enroll. (Don’t forget about your TID rebate for the purchase of a new smart thermostat!)
  • Receive $50 for Enrolling: Once you’re enrolled, TID will pay you $50 for allowing us to make small adjustments to your thermostat during events.
  • Participation: TID will give advance notice, when possible, that an event is expected to occur. An additional $25 is available at the end of the demand response season* for those that stay opted in during events.
  • Stay in Control: During an event, your air conditioner will fluctuate by a few degrees. A few degrees can make a big impact on grid reliability. However, you can always opt-out of the event by making adjustments to your thermostat at anytime.

*TID’s Event Season is May 1st – October 31st.
