Account Number
  • Account Number: Your account number is a ten-digit number and appears at the top and bottom of your bill. It is good to have this handy if you need to call us about your bill.
  • Account Summary: Although a more detailed breakdown of your charges is available below, the account summary provides an overview of charges incurred, payments received, the total amount due and the due date.
  • Meter Information: This is your meter data. Each meter has a unique, identifying number and is read every month. The previous read is deducted from the current read to calculate the difference. The Multiplier is then applied to determine the amount of kilowatt-hours consumed.
  • Location: Some customers receive service at multiple locations. This section indicates the address or location where the service is being provided.
    • Rate Schedule: This is the rate schedule assigned to this service.
  • Charges and Credits Summary: This is a list of the charges and credits for this account. The back of the bill gives an explanation of these terms. Some residential rate schedules are billed in tiers; therefore, you may see multiple line items for energy use in more than one tier.
  • Monthly Usage Comparison: This area of your billing statement shows how your usage and weather in the current billing cycle compares with the month prior, as well as the same time last year. You may observe changes in your usage during different seasons.
