What is the TID EnergySync Program?

  • The Energy Sync program is a voluntary demand response program for TID customers who have an eligible smart thermostat(s) connected to their central air conditioning or central heat pump.
  • Joining EnergySync allows TID to make small adjustments to enrolled thermostats during a grid constraint event.
  • Adjustments are small, within 1-4 degrees, and an event typically lasts no more than 4 hours.
  • The program season runs from May 1st – October 31st, when TID’s peak demand is highest.
  • Participants will receive a $50 enrollment incentive once their application has been approved and an additional $25 participation incentive after the end of the demand response season (October 31st).
