Budget Billing
The amount of TID electric bills can vary widely throughout the year and not knowing what to expect from month to month can challenge any household budget.
Imagine being able to create a household budget for the month knowing what your electricity bill was going to be, summer or winter.
Now you can with our Budget Billing option. We simply divide your annual electric bill into equal monthly payments eliminating the highs and lows that come with hot and cold months. To keep your bills consistent, we recalculate your monthly amount due each year in March and September helping you stay on budget since you’ll know exactly how much your bill will be. Your monthly bills will continue to show actual energy consumption and current charges, but you’ll only pay your prearranged Budget Billing amount.
With Budget Billing, you’ll be in control of your finances instead of the other way around.
To Qualify for the Budget Billing Program, in addition to meeting TID’s credit requirements and certain credit criteria, your account must:
- Be on a residential rate
- Have received TID Electrical Service at that address for the past 12 consecutive months
