Solar Rebates

TID’s solar rebate program has been fully subscribed and at this time there are no more rebates for installing solar systems available.

Although we are not offering a rebate, customers can still install solar on their homes and businesses inside Turlock Irrigation District. If you’ve been told by a solar vendor that TID does not allow solar or, that we prevent you from installing it on your home or business, contact another solar installer. Currently, there are many companies installing and connecting solar systems on our customer’s properties.

Program History

In response to Senate Bill 1 (SB1), TID launched our first Solar Rebate Program in April 2006. SB1 required Publicly Owned Utilities like TID to make these rebates available for at least 10 years. This rebate program has now come to an end. If you are a customer or vendor that has signed a contract for installation of a system and have not submitted your rebate application, please call the TID Consumer Programs Specialist at 209-883-8254 or email at solar@tid.org.
