Although we are not offering a rebate, customers can still install solar on their homes and businesses inside Turlock Irrigation District. If you’ve been told by a solar vendor that TID does not allow solar or, that we prevent you from installing it on your home or business, contact another solar installer. Currently, there are many companies installing and connecting solar systems on our customer’s properties.
In response to Senate Bill 1 (SB1), TID launched our first Solar Rebate Program in April 2006. SB1 required Publicly Owned Utilities like TID to make these rebates available for at least 10 years. This rebate program has now come to an end.
