TID is committed to the responsible and efficient management of the District's energy and water sources. We work to fulfill this commitment through customer education, energy efficiency and conservation programs.

Energy Conservation

TID has compiled a list of low- and no-cost ways for consumers to lower their energy use.

Energy Efficiency

TID has exceeded its energy efficiency goal for many years by designing and implementing several residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural programs that helped customers save electricity.

Renewable Energy

TID has invested in a diverse mix of renewable energy projects and is proudly generating 28 percent of qualified renewable energy. District residential customers can also participate in a voluntary renewable energy program, dubbed BGreen.

River Restoration

TID holds some of the oldest water rights on the Tuolumne River. We are proud of this legacy and work continuously to improve our environmental leadership in this area.

Climate Change

TID is certifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory with the voluntary California Climate Action Registry.
