Board of Directors

TID is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. The Board meets every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Room located at 333 E. Canal Drive, Turlock.

Michael Frantz, President

Director Frantz represents Division 1 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2009. He is a co-owner of Frantz Wholesale Nursery, LLC. Located next to the Tuolumne River in Hickman, Frantz Wholesale Nursery employs over 100 people, and is a premier supplier of trees and shrubs to independent garden centers, chain stores and landscape contractors in six western states. Director Frantz is active on several statewide industry boards. He serves locally as a Director for the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, and on the Stanislaus Workforce Alliance Board. He serves as the District's representative for the Don Pedro Recreation Agency Board of Control. Email: michaelf@frantznursery.com

Ron Macedo, Vice President

Director Macedo represents Division 5 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since December 2009. He is also a Director for the Stanislaus County Fair Board. He owns R.A.M. Farms in Turlock, CA and was the past President of Stanislaus County Farm Bureau. Previously, Director Macedo was the State Director for the California Farm Bureau Federation, District 13. Director Macedo is a representative on the District's Facilities Committee and the Irrigation Committee.

Rob Santos, Director

Director Santos represents Division 4 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007. Director Santos is president of Valley Critter Care, Inc., which operates two veterinary hospitals in Turlock. He was a part-time instructor at Modesto Junior College Agriculture Department and is a member and past president of the Chatom School Board. Director Santos helped to establish the Turlock Historical Society and is past president of the Turlock Downtown Association, Northern San Joaquin Veterinary Association and the Turlock Exchange Club. Charles Fernandes, Director

Director Fernandes represents Division 2 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2001. He is the District's representative to the Drinking Water Committee. He also serves as an alternate representative on the Don Pedro Recreation Agency Board of Control. Director Fernandes is co-owner of Country Ford in Ceres, California and is a past member of the Ceres Chamber of Commerce Board. Email: cafsterlingman@aol.com

 

Joe Alamo, Director

Director Alamo represents Division 3 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since December 2009. Director Alamo received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and currently owns and operates a dairy and farming operation with his two brothers. He is a current member and past president of the Central Counties Dairy Herd Improvement Association. He is a Director of the Turlock Pentacost Association as well as serving on the Board of the Cal Poly AGR Alumni Association. Director Alamo is also a member of Western United Dairyman and Stanislaus County Farm Bureau. He is a representative on the District's Drinking Water Committee and the Pension Investment Committee.
